Ok, so its been about 2 weeks now since I chatted about my foot injury. Nope apparently its not broken, but badly bruised, yay, but also a boo! Not like I really WANT it to be broke, but from experience, a clean break heals faster, and hurts less than a bruise or in some cases cracks, or bad sprains/strains. That is what I want..a fast heal time and less pain.
It is still swollen and sore, and very bruised looking. When I went to the docs, he did NOT tell me to wrap it in a tensor, nor did he advice me to keep off it (and give me crutches), nor, really did he say I need to do anything special. WTF? Did he NOT see me NOT have shoes on? Did he NOT see the freakin huge lump and purple bruising on my foot..right where a shoe would sit? I mean LIKE REALLY?! So, its a dam good thing I do have half a brain in my head, and I wrap the sucker. Mind you, if I'm on my foot for any length of time it swells like a balloon, and my toes become rather sausage like. I try and wriggle my toes around and flex my foot, and I notice tons of tingling and numbing in my middle toes, and it really hurts to flex my big toe as it pulls and stretches the plantar tendon..which is the bruised object in question. Le sigh.
At present I am kinda able to put an old shoe on said foot. It needs to be wrapped though, and I put some desensitizing stuff on the bruise and lump prior to wrapping so it wouldn't hurt AS MUCH! But BLECH. Its just gross. All this for a mere bruise? Hmmmmmm. Me thinks round 2 at the doc office might be in order soon. I'll give it to week 3 and see what improvements or not I have to report.
