Kay, I know its been awhile since last I posted, in fact I do believe its been 2 months.
TWO MONTHS? WHAT?!!
Unbelievable really. I know my blogs are far from stellar and cutting edge, but I shall try harder for this.
Let me get you up to speed.
My foot, its till sore. Turns out I did some soft tissue damage and so now that just needs to heal. The hemotoma is almost gone, as well as the sensitivity in the area..yay. Now, I just have to deal with swelling and muscle cramps in my arch...boo. It will come I know it will. Any time though. Seriously. Any. Time.
Secondly, its been a month now that I went to two out of town, out of province weddings. I was the main photographer for both. The first wedding was very casual and the bride and groom just told me to 'take pictures', and they, in turn grabbed me when they wanted some pictures of themselves and Aunt Maude or Grandpa Billy etc. So click click click I went. Took about 500 from that wedding.
A week later, a more formal wedding. This one, the bride and groom had ideas on what they wanted done and where. They also had a formal wedding, in a church, with a big bridal party and lots of friends and family. I still have about 800 photos to shuffle through, and went through about 2000 already. This wedding I took photos for 12 hours and in turn probably already spent over 12 hours at the computer going through the photos. Sure, there are repeats of photos..like 5 of Uncle Sam, and 3 of the bride and groom's kiss at the reception....hence why it takes time. Alot don't need any "tweeking"...thankfully. Not like I do alot of that anyhow..maybe crop, sharpen, and convert from colour to BW..oh and of course convert from RAW to jpeg format. So it takes time. One can only do that for so long then they are done..for awhile.
After I got home form my 10 days of working holiday, my mind got all messed up. During those 10 days of being away...I was in 2 different provinces, 2 different time zones, 5 different beds, 3 different cities/towns, 2 different weddings, 2 different hotels. Oh and mainly two different modes of transportation..flying and driving. It was CRAZY..but fun...but quite the mind mess up!!
So, by day 3 at home, in my own bed, after being asleep for awhile, I'd waken in a panic. Wondering where I was, where my cameras were and how the heck I checked in to `this`hotel. Sigh. So I needed to take a few days away from all the photos and get my mind back!!
Here is one photo I took from our second hotel. We were 32 floors up, facing south west so we got some decent sunset lighting. Can you recognize this city???
